2 Summer Study Filmmaking Programs in USA

Summer study programs: filmmaking USA

Summer study programs for filmmaking
are valuable experiences for a teen in his/her formative years. These are the years where a student finds out whether his/her ideas are worth something. A teen tests ideas out on friends, teachers, parents... and strangers to find out - what is acceptable, what is likeable... what works, what doesn't work. The summer study programs in filmmaking are a great way to help your student step outside the norms and experience something from a different comfort zone.

Students that are initially shy or inhibited about attending, are, after they return home exhilerated and talking about next year's summer study program here or elsewhere.

Do it for your child, or, do it for us - the USA seems to have a dearth of talented filmmakers in our population. Movies are stale and uninspired. They're canned format makes for predictive outcomes and bored audiences. Help your child break this mold!

Fun Summer Study Programs: Documentary Filmmaking in Spain!

This summer study program is focused on teens studying creative documentary filmmaking and journalism in Cadiz, Spain.

ID Tech Camps has teamed together with a renowned language institute and the University of Cádiz in Southern Spain to offer you this tremendous opportunity for broadening your son or daughter's life experience. This is a teen summer study abroad program that will never be forgotten by the participants.

Imagine your teenage son or daughter living with a Spanish family, eating Spanish food, and touring ancient landmarks dotting centuries old cities.

Each weekday morning your son or daughter would attend Spanish language class from 10AM-1:30PM (a Spanish assessment test will be given before the student arrives at the summer study program in Spain). In the afternoon, after eating lunch with your Spanish family, taking a siesta (sleep break), or relaxing at the beach, you will learn to put together a story board, shoot digital film, and edit your very own mini-documentary film of your experience in Spain.

To compliment your experience you need not worry about bringing a digital camera... One will be provided for you! You will shoot and edit on your own computer for the entire 2.5 week program, documenting whatever experiences you deem appropriate for your documentary. You can focus on a specific niche or document everything, up to you.
